These trees are slabbed out in 3" slices. Giving you that rustic natural look on the outside, and a clean smooth finish on the top.
Shiplap Ceilings
Shiplap is long planks, mounted horizontally with a slight gap between them. Most of the time it is made of pine, as seen in this photo. This particular shiplap was lightly charred and finished with a hard wax oil.
History of Live Edge
The live edge style originates from the 1600s when the first American settlers needed functional furniture quickly. They skipped some of the further processes in wood working so they could create wooden furniture faster. This now is a very popular style in many businesses and homes.
Shiplap Walls & Siding
