While every board shipped out of our shop, regardless of design and distress, is handled, inspected, and shaped by our crew before it ever reaches your doorstep, the Quaker scrape hardwood distress gets the most love and attention. It has the fingerprints of our master craftsmen all over it.

Each board is hand-scraped, with the uniqueness of the wood and the individual signature touch of our Amish artisans on full display with every stroke. The board is then sanded to ensure a velvety finish, so when it takes its place among a myriad of other hand-scraped boards to create your custom flooring, all you see is a soft, subtle roll of texture beneath a liquid smooth surface.

Quaker scrape can be done with a wide blade, narrow blade, or anywhere in between to match customer preference. Stain or other distresses can be added to provide a truly unique, handmade masterpiece floor for your home.
